Write for Right!
If there's anything to be learned of recent social, political, economical and geological events, it's the importance of helping out where we can. To that end, I'm starting a new annual writing contest that will help you get your writing out into the world while helping some valuable causes as well.
What are the causes that I hope will benefit from "Write for Right?"
1. National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)
2. A World Without Breast Cancer
4. Keep the Arts in Public Schools
I hope to add more causes in the future, but for the time being, these are four of many that I strongly believe in. Here's how the Annual Write for Right works:
Entrants submit writing into three categories. There are three winners of each category. First place winners, among their prizes, will receive a donation made in their name to a good cause.
Contest Rules:
A. Categories:
1. Poetry
2. Horror Fiction
3. Fantasy Fiction
B. General Rules:
1. Up to, but not exceeding, three winners will be chosen from each category.
- 3 first prizes: A signed copy of either my poetry anthology, horror anthology or fantasy anthology depending on which category they win for. Honorable mention on my website and in bi-annual newsletter, on Facebook and on Twitter. Your story (or poem) will be published in my newsletter and on my website and linked from my Facebook and Twitter. Not only will you receive a free copy of an anthology but I will donate, in your name, the book's value to the cause associated with said anthology.
- 3 second prizes: A signed copy of either my poetry anthology, horror anthology or fantasy anthology depending on which category. Honorable mention on my website, newsletter, Facebook and Twitter. Your story (or poem) will be published on my website.
